Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders posted a strong year-on-year (YoY) increase of 75.7 percent (YoY) in profit after tax (PAT), to Rs 585 crore for the quarter ending September 2024. This is a significant increase from Rs 332.9 crore in the same period. last year.
The company also saw a strong increase in revenue, which rose 50.8 percent YoY to Rs 2,756.8 crore, from Rs 1,827.7 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
EBITDA saw impressive growth, rising 189.1 percent YoY to Rs 511 crore as against Rs 177 crore in the year-ago quarter. This significant increase in efficiency led to an increase in the EBITDA margin of 886 points, which increased the margin to 18.5 percent from 9.7 percent in the previous year’s quarter.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders’ strong performance reflects effective cost management and growth in operating activities for the quarter.
