Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, or “CZ,” is back in the spotlight after serving four months in prison. One of Zhao’s first public appearances was at the Binance Blockchain Week conference, where he discussed his experiences, future plans, and current relationships with the exchanges he founded.
In the podcast, Zhao shared his experiences while he was out of the public eye. For Zhao, human contact is not missed much. It can be recalled that the founder of Binance was charged with violations of the Bank Secrecy Act and accepted a plea agreement with the authorities.
He complained that he was the first to go to jail for this crime. The founder of Binance added that there were other high-profile cases, such as a fine of $ 1.8 billion on TD Bank, however no one has been charged for this fiasco.
Zhao Maintains That He Is No Longer Involved With Binance’s Operations
CZ, in that podcast, talked at length about his relationship with the exchange he founded. He also revealed that he is still one of the major shareholders but is no longer on the management team.
He also dismissed reports that he was banned from managing cryptocurrency exchanges “for life.” Zhao added that the ban was not included in last year’s agreement.

He added that he is now focusing on other projects, including Giggle Academy, and shared that he has invested in AI, blockchain, and biotech. Although he is one of the largest shareholders, Zhao has made it clear that he is no longer willing to return to help with operations.
Zhao Is Always Optimistic About The Future Of Crypto
When asked about his thoughts on the crypto market, Zhao said he is optimistic about the industry’s long-term growth. However, he warned owners and stakeholders of risks and short-term volatility.
Zhao then moved to the topic of Bitcoin’s historical four-year cycle. Finally, the CEO of Binance also shared with the audience his opinion about the positive development in the field of regulations.
Zhao and His Giggle Academy Programs
Separated from Binance, Zhao gradually embraced other courses, including Giggle Academy. He described this new project as an educational program that promises to bring digital education to more than one billion people who do not have or cannot access basic education.
Zhao shared that the program will rely on artificial intelligence and teachers to create interactive lessons delivered across devices.
