With the US presidential election now a few hours away, John Oliver took advantage Last week Tonight to a) catch up on some of Donald Trump’s latest ventures, and b) share a few last words before the big day.
“There’s one last thing I’m going to be really excited about on Tuesday, and that is: If Donald Trump loses this election, he’s done. I know he’s going to put us through hell before he leaves the stage, but then he’s lost two elections in a row, and he’s going to be campaigning like an 82-year-old next time. I think he’s going to be done again.” that doesn’t sound good, said Oliver.
“I know that the problems you are a symptom of will remain, but we will not have to face them. he again. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world where he is no longer an active threat, just boring? […] Where he can shout about ice cream machines and complain about windmills and we all have the opportunity to not give a damn about any of them. I want so bad to live in that world and I hope everyone is doing everything they can in the next 48 hours to make that world possible. “
