The government. taking ‘useless’ foreign trips and not using guarantees: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for mismanaging people in Telangana not focusing on the welfare of the people or using the six guarantees among different sections of the people but on spending money on “useless” foreign tours.

Rajya Sabha MP and national OBC president K. Laxman, in a press statement, criticized the government for ignoring promises made to farmers and other social groups including unemployed youth and women but spending money on “25 foreign trips” by his ministers so far. or taking on “controversial” activities to divert people’s attention.

The ‘Rythu Bharosa’ financial assistance scheme was included in the agreement without a word on the enhanced fund of ₹15,000 per acre or bonus to paddy farmers. The farm loan waiver was a “flop” with many eligible beneficiaries denied assistance due to lack of ration cards or other technical reasons. Oil palm and cotton farmers were left high and dry with no price to support their produce, he said.

Mr. Laxman questioned the Chief Minister’s claim of providing 50,000 jobs and wanted to know more details about when the notifications were issued and the tests. “What happened to the promise of two lakh jobs per year or to the annual job calendar or to filling the backlog? The program to refund students’ money has stopped,” he said. The true color of the Congress party was exposed in the last 10 months with all sections unhappy, he added.

Take action

In a separate press conference, Sirupur MP Palvai Harish Babu urged the government to investigate and take action against officials of the Forest Department in Kumram Bheem Asifabad for running a “mafia” and using “third degree methods for people who killed wild boars”.

“I am asking Minister Konda Surekha to appoint officials who are responsible for behaving in a dignified manner instead of making public servants. If the government does not do anything, we will intensify the agitation to expose those who do nothing and the commissions of the officials involved,” he said.

Voting workshop

The incumbent in the elections of the Regional Association E. Laxminarayana, in another press conference, said that a workshop will be held regarding the federal elections on November 7 which will be attended by senior leaders like Sambit Patra, Sunil Bansal, G.Kishan Reddy and other leaders. It will be followed by similar workshops on November 8, 9 and 10 at the districts and later at grassroots level. Electoral officers are appointed for each program, he said.
