Auto stocks take center stage

Shares of automakers are set to take a hit after companies such as Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto reported that they will be sold in October.

  • Maruti Suzuki beat analysts’ estimates with a 3.6 percent growth in its total PV sales to 2.06 lakh units. Zee Business analysts estimated the carmaker’s monthly sales at 1.93 lakh units.
  • M&M also made a strong sales plan with a record number of SUVs sold.
  • Tata Motors reported sales of 48,131 PVs in the domestic market, almost unchanged from the 48,337 sold in October last year.

Narayana Hrudalaya

The company performed a mixed financial performance between July-September.

Its net profit fell 12.4 percent while its margin was reduced by 160 bps, according to an official filing.

Corporate Action

Colgate-Palmolive, Kajaria Ceramics, Manba Finance, Oberoi Realty and Patanjali Foods shares are expected to trade ex-dividend on November 4.
