HYDERABAD
Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the government of cheating the people of Telangana, and dared Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to do padayatra to find out the truth.
In a statement on ‘X’ on Saturday, Mr. Sanjay Kumar has alleged that the Congress government’s six assurances are ’empty’ promises. “The confirmation card that was given before the election was full of ‘effective’ clauses. “Although he has been in office for ten months, the government has failed to fulfill these promises,” he said.
The Congress had promised benefits worth Rs 2.5 lakh per family in Telangana, but now, families are burdened with debt, such as mismanagement of funds under the BRS government.
The Karimnagar MP also alleged that many farmers have been left out of the ₹ 2 lakh farm loan waiver scheme, adding that the government’s commitment to continue with Rythu Bharosa has not been fulfilled. He wrote the paddy bonus of ₹500 as fake.
He also criticized the Congress for allocating Rs 1.5 lakh crore to the Musi River project but leaving no money for core social programmes. He pointed out that although he received money from the center under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana, the state government prioritized demolishing the houses of the poor rather than building new ones.
He accused the government of neglecting the issues affecting students and said that the law and order situation in Telangana is bad under the Congress government.
