Muhurat trading times are done every year based on Vikram Samvat lunar calendar. Usually, the length of a special session is about an hour. For example, in 2023, Muhurat trading takes place from 6pm to 7:15 pm on November 12. However, this year, the session will last for one hour, until 7pm.

What is different about Muhurat trading?
To put it simply, except for the duration, the Muhurat trading session is like any normal trading session. Although the market usually opens at 9:15 am and closes at 3:30 pm every day from Monday to Friday, Muhurat trading is done for about one-sixth of those hours in the regular session. This is because its dates and times are based entirely on the ‘muhurat’—or a certain time considered auspicious in Hindu culture, depending on the position of the planets.
