Wow, Finally There’s a Video for Bad Singing

Most people probably know They are not bad he is for music. After all, it is one of the most successful musicals of this generation and still plays to audiences around the world. Still, from the first moment audiences saw a glimpse of what director Jon M. Chu and Universal had in store for the film adaptation, it almost felt like a secret.

From that Super Bowl ad nine months ago, to the videos and clips a few months ago, there’s almost no footage of singing in the form of music. Popular songs of the show played over the video, but the fact that Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and other actors sing in the movie is always hidden.

That changed today. They are not bad opens on November 22, less than a month, and the new feature finally admits, yes, this is music. Yes, there is singing. And, of course, the singing is done live on set. Check out the new video below.

It’s not just singing in the middle They are not badit looks like it’s going to be a good signing. Even if you’re not too familiar with the show, songs like “Famous” and “Defying Gravity” can still give you goosebumps. So seeing them in full, in a theater, with all the sights and sounds, should be great.

As for why Universal seems to be holding this aspect of the movie back, there are a few possible reasons. The biggest possibility is that the pictures were not ready. Especially with that original trailer timed to the Super Bowl, it would have been pretty amazing to have anything ready to show. From there though, it felt like a concerted effort to bring people together with big, bright images and communication The Wizard of Oz– and then finally, there’s the final big reveal. It’s not like the fans thought they had stopped singing but now, because it was delayed, they realize it’s special.

There is, however, one major drawback They are not bad that is still largely hidden. That on November 22 you don’t sit down to see “The Evil One.” You’re sitting down to see “The Wrong Part One” with “Part Two” coming out next year. Keeping that quiet is obviously another very careful decision to get bums in the seats because slapping “Part One” on it could turn off moviegoers. Many feel that this is happening even later Objective: Impossible (which actually changed its title after release) and Warner Bros. used the same strategy in the beginning A mound.

Anyway, the first part of the They are not bad it opens under the moon. It has singing. Now you have seen some of it. And we’ll have more in the coming weeks.
