NFL pro Matthew Stafford he always provides for his family – even when he does some bad things.
The Los Angeles Rams quarterback talked about his reaction when he found out one of his daughters was playing a prank at school.
During an appearance on the podcast “The Morning After” hosted by Hank Winchester and Matthew’s wife, Kellyexplaining the prank and how he reacted to the incident.
She revealed that when she was at school, her daughter and her friend would go into empty bathrooms and lock themselves in, then crawl under and leave them locked – thus leaving others unable to enter.
Matthew and Kelly recalled how they handled the incident with their daughter on the podcast, with the family agreeing that “It’s going to be okay.”
“We didn’t hurt anyone, we didn’t use profanity, we didn’t do anything too bad,” he told of their discussion on this issue. “We did a prank we shouldn’t have done. We understand that and we got caught. If you do it again, I will be sad but I am not sad.”
He also said that there is a part of him that is impressed by the skills that his daughter has shown.
“I’m kind of a little proud in the back,” he admitted. “It’s a really good game, it’s really good. But I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to do that.’
Matthew and Kelly have four daughters, all under the age of 10. His older twins, Sawyer and Chandler, were followed by Hunter and Tyler. (Neither parent revealed which of the girls pulled the bathroom shenanigans.)
The couple met while attending school at the University of Georgia.
Stafford played for the Detroit Lions his entire career, until he was traded to the Rams in 2021.
Back in June, Kelly Stafford opened up about the early days of their relationship to the former bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s podcast, “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristow.”
“The relationship was not so pleasant at first. I hated him. I loved him. I dated a backup to annoy him, and it worked,” he told Bristowe.
They got married in 2014, and got married the following year.
In 2019, Kelly revealed that she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, on her Instagram account.
“The medical term they used was acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma. “All I heard was a brain tumor and that they had to have surgery to remove it,” Stafford wrote. “That’s what we’re going to do and we believe we’ve found the best doctor to do it. I would be lying if I said that I am not at all afraid of brain surgery.”
He later revealed that the surgery was successful.
