The media is a bridge between the government and the people, says the Guntur MP

Guntur East Member of Parliament Mohammed Naseer Ahmed emphasized the important role of the media in bridging the gap between the government and the people by effectively talking about welfare programs and government programs.

Speaking at a press conference called ‘Vartalap’ organized in Guntur by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Vijayawada, on Thursday, said that all democratic institutions must work to help the common man.

PIB Andhra Pradesh Additional Director General (ADG) Rajinder Choudhry highlighted the important role of the media in ensuring transparency in the dissemination of accurate information.

He urged journalists to focus on delivering information about the facts without getting carried away. He advises avoiding personal opinions or twisting statements. He elaborated on the role of PIB in effectively disseminating government information.

Ch. Divakar Babu, Principal of Siddhartha Law College, Vijayawada, emphasized the importance of the recent amendments in the criminal laws, saying that they are in line with the needs of society and technological developments.

The event featured discussions on consumer rights and access to information and laws with important details shared by K. Venkata Ramana, editor-in-chief at Janam magazine. Bank manager Krishna Reddy highlighted the important role of banks in implementing various social programs.

Several officials from PIB, Akashvani, Doordarshan, and local media participated in the workshop.
