The city police have issued orders prohibiting gathering of five or more people within 200 meters of all examination centers between October 21-27 due to Group I Mains.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that Section 144 will be invoked on Sunday near the examination centers, and all other arrangements have been taken for the smooth conduct of the examinations. “Troublemakers have been identified and detained according to law,” he said, adding that there will be a full police presence on Monday.
The orders under Section 144 will remain in force from 6 am to 6 pm on all seven days of the examination. Copy shops and internet cafes within 100 meters of the examination centers will also remain closed.
The Commissioner of Cybeabad also issued similar orders. “The police, soldiers and Home Guards on duty, the flying squad, the Department of Education and funerals will not be affected by these orders. Strict legal action will be taken against any violator,” said a copy of the Cyberabad police order.
