The attack in which terrorists, recently returned from Pakistan, indiscriminately shot and killed workers in Gagangir was planned.
Security agencies on Sunday said the terror attack in which terrorists fired indiscriminately at people near the Z-Morh tunnel was a planned incident and involved a terrorist returning from Pakistan, who had wandered around the area before launching the attack.
The attack was planned by the terrorist group The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This group says that this is the case of murder.
They also said that they have identified the two terrorists involved and said their names are Hurera and Khubaib.
So far six people have died in this terrorist attack in Gagangir and eleven people have been injured. At least two of those killed are not local.
“This was a planned attack on the minded workers (causing) heavy casualties,” the sources said CNN-News18.
“These two terrorists have gone back, through all the means of entry and exit,” they continued to add. The tunnel referred to here is the Z-Morh tunnel. The tunnel under construction is very important for defense.
The tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity to the people and the Indian Army in Ladakh.
Heavy snowfall in Zojila is frequent across Ladakh in Kashmir. This disrupts the flow of energy, people and essential goods and services.
Sources said that no new groups were involved and that the TRF was responsible for the killings.
“Hurera is back from Pakistan and is messing between Ganderbal and Harwan. Khubaib is also involved in the attack,” said the sources.
