Getty Images (2)Zayn Malik canceled the first concert, and the rest of his tour leg Stairway to heaven the tour follows the sudden death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.
Malik, 31, was scheduled to kick off the tour with a show in San Francisco on Wednesday, October 23. A few days earlier, he confirmed that the show would be postponed.
“Due to the painful loss this week, I have made the decision to postpone the US leg Stairs to the Sky Tour,” wrote Malik in a Saturday, October 19, Instagram Story statement. “The dates are being pushed back to January and I will send them as soon as everything is arranged in the next few days.”
He added, “Your tickets are always valid on new dates. I love you all and thank you for your understanding.”

Malik announced Stairway to heaven tour in September, with five stops in the United States and six in the UK between October and December. “Appreciate your patience, love and support,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I can’t wait to enjoy some great music together. By this I mean soon I will see you in 35 days.”
This is Malik’s first solo tour of his career. The venture, which sold out quickly, follows the release of his fourth studio album in May, The Room Under the Stairs.

Crescenti added, “The team can’t do anything at all. There was no resuscitation because it was confirmed that he had died. The whole body had very bad wounds.”
Us confirmed when Buenos Aires City police were dispatched to the CasaSur Palermo hotel after a 911 call about an aggressive man believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. An investigation was launched by local law enforcement following the incident.

Payne and Malik teamed up Harry styles, Niall Horan again Louis Tomlinson in the UK edition of IX Factor in 2010 to form One Direction. The boy band became very popular, releasing five studio albums between 2011 and 2015. Malik left the group in 2015, and the remaining members went on hiatus in 2016. Each pursued solo careers, with Payne releasing his first album, LP1in 2019.
Malik reflected on his exit from the band in 2023, sharing on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that he “totally selfishly wanted to be the first person to make his own record.”
