Former Canadian National Security Adviser (NSA) Jody Thomas said initial intelligence and police investigations suggested that Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed in revenge for the killing of Ripudaman Singh Malik, who was suspected of involvement in the Air India Kanishka bombing in 1985.

Thomas’ comments confirmed India’s position that there was no Indian Government involvement in Nijjar’s killing and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “baseless” allegations are part of his government’s smear campaign against New Delhi.
