IX Factor UK Releases Statement After Death of Liam Payne aged 31

IX Factor UK respect the deceased Liam Payne after his death at the age of 31.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Liam Payne,” read a statement shared by X on Thursday, October 17. “He was incredibly talented and, as part of One Direction, Liam will leave a lasting legacy on the music industry and fans around the world.”

The message is posted next to a black and white photo of Payne. “Our thoughts are with his friends, family and all who loved him,” the statement concluded.

Us Weekly confirmed Payne’s death on Wednesday, October 16. The singer fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Police arrived at the CasaSur Palermo hotel following a 911 call about an “aggressive male” who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The hotel manager said that a loud noise was heard coming from the inner courtyard behind the hotel.

Payne’s death is under investigation by authorities, and the results of a full autopsy have not been released. Buenos Aires emergency chief Alberto Crescenti On Thursday, he revealed that the singer “suffered severe injuries” beyond the respiratory limit.

“Our role was to head quickly, provide medical assistance, and try to revive him, but his injuries were not healthy,” he said, via La Nacion. “Based on what the team saw, it appeared that he suffered a broken spine and severe injuries that led to his immediate death.”

Crescenti added, “The team can’t do anything at all. There was no resuscitation because it was confirmed that he had died. The whole body had very bad wounds.”

Payne is best known as a member of the band One Direction. The group was founded in IX Factor UK in 2010, with Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and additional jurors chose to spare Payne, Harry styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson again Zayn Malik instead of sending them home as solo artists. One Direction finished the season in third place but went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

One Direction released five albums before taking an unannounced hiatus in 2016 to pursue solo careers. Payne’s first solo album, LP1down in 2019. His last song before his death is titled “Teardrops” and was released in March.

Payne is survived by her 7-year-old son, Bear, who she shared with her ex Cheryl Colealong with his parents and two sisters.
