At least four people, including two women, died on the spot and four others were injured in a road accident involving a truck, a car and a motorcycle near Hasnapur village on Kalaburagi-Jewargi Road in Kalaburagi district on Wednesday night.
The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Raghavendra, 30-year-old Mujahid, 45-year-old Hussain Bi and 50-year-old Maula Bi. They were in the car when the accident happened.
Two other passengers who were traveling in the car and the motorcyclist received minor injuries.
The accident occurred when a motorcyclist who was heading towards Chittapur city collided with a truck. And, at the same time, when, in an attempt to save the motorcyclist, the truck driver slowed down, the car behind the truck hit.
The injured have been shifted to a private hospital here.
Commissioner of Police Sharanappa SD and a team of police officers from Road-I police station visited the accident site.
