A Politico article on Thursday asked why Vice President Kamala Harris wouldn’t be promoted in the current “dream economy.”
Under the headline, “Harris rode a dream economy to the polls. It may be too late for voters to notice,” Politico economic reporter Victoria Guida wrote that current numbers on inflation, unemployment and GDP showed a “strong economic picture” for the vice president before the election.
“The question now is whether it is too late for Vice President Kamala Harris to get credit for it,” Guida wrote.

Guida pointed out in a morning report that inflation rates fell to a three-year low last month at 2.4%, although this was higher than the economists’ initial forecast of 2.3%. He added that the unemployment rate remains low and the S&P 500 stock index has grown by 20%.

“The positive economic picture is a surprise victory for both Biden and Powell, as consumers still feel pressured by high prices,” Guida wrote.
Although inflation has slowed from near-record levels in 2022, rates have continued to rise over the past four years. According to research by FOX Business, food prices increased by about 22.8%, energy increased by about 42.4% and new cars increased by 19.5%.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha wrote, “Dream economy? You gals are really over the top. Go ahead and enjoy the measure.”
“Only when the ‘dream’ becomes a nightmare,” joked author Carol Roth.
Broadcaster Erick Erickson wrote, “This is why Harris is losing. He and the political media live in the same place where everything is fine while the rest of America has had to cut back on gas and groceries for the last three years.”
“Once again, we voters are too stupid to see that the economy is really good,” wrote conservative user Amy Curtis.
