75 Women’s Affirmations That Will Change Your Life

Affirmations, especially for women, can feel challenging. We have been taught to put ourselves last, to put the happiness of others before our own. Perhaps we have also learned that thinking positively is selfish or arrogant. (Trust me, it’s nothing.) But many of us have heard—whether from a well-meaning friend, a therapist, or a self-help book—that making affirmations in front of the mirror can make a big difference in our lives. . And as weird or strange as the experience sounds—it’s true.

Behind these theories of validation lies the science of the theory of self-validation. It asserts that when we tell ourselves (and repeat) our beliefs, “we can maintain our sense of integrity.” But even with the science to back it up, I still feel imposter syndrome kick in when I try to make the affirmations myself. Who are the others?

The Importance of Making Affirmations for Women

It’s normal to have doubts in those moments when you tell yourself something that feels deeply untrue. For example, on a day when nothing seems to be going right, your hair is doing all kinds of funny things, and a zit decided to show up on the outside, you can feel inauthentic that “I feel beauty inside.”

When we make affirmations daily, we not only share kind and loving words with ourselves, but we begin to believe them.

My advice? It’s the world! Then take a step back, and ask yourself where those feelings are coming from. Is it a feeling of inner doubt or comparison? Or maybe it’s inspired by something someone said in the past. When we look deeply into our self-limiting beliefs, we begin to see the flaws in the stories we’ve told ourselves. We see how we have kept ourselves from the truth of who we really are—beautiful and full of light.

When we make affirmations daily, we not only share kind and loving words with ourselves, but we begin to believe them. While you may not have an epiphany from any of the affirmations below, I will say this: with practice comes promise.
