Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Saturday thanked Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for handing over 75 Border Roads Organization (BRO) infrastructure projects to the state, including five important road bridges in the hilly region.
After attending the inauguration ceremony of the Raj Bhavan here, the governor in a statement highlighted the importance of five key bridges in improving connectivity and strategic readiness along the India-China border.

Bridges have been opened at Munni, Bhaga, Dogri, Habsar and Shalkhar-11 on National Highway-3 (Manali-Sarchu road), NH-5 (Powari-Shipkila road) and NH-505 (Khab-Sumdo-Kaza-Gramphoo road).
The governor said these important bridges are not only important for the rapid movement of troops and equipment, but will also play an important role in the socio-economic development of the local people.
BRO has completed the construction of these projects in record time, said Shukla.
Many of these projects were built simultaneously using modern technology, the governor added as he commended the efforts of the BRO in completing the work under challenging weather conditions in windless areas.
